The Hotel
In
1828, the shimla received its first landmark-Combermere
Bridge. This spanned a gushing mountain stream was built
by Lord Combermere. the British Commander-in-Chief of
the Indian army. It took over a humdred and fifty years
for the next major landmark to be built by that
stream-Hotel Combermere.
